Miami Night Out
Miami Night Out
There is nothing quite like a warm Miami night out and last Wednesday was no exception… Dani and I went to @bouchon_bistro – they just opened six months ago and this French bistro has become all the craze. So of course, in true Idalia fashion, I had to see if it’s worth the hype.
And it was.
From the second you walk into the candle lit dining room, you immediately feel like you were transported to Paris… and I have to say that’s incredibly hard to do the right way. Even my picky European husband was blown away that something so authentic could exist across an entire ocean.
The food?
Equally as impressive. Here is what we got and what we recommend:
🦪 Oysters – we went with west coast. Refreshing and invitingly sweet.
🐌 Escargots – dare I say some of the best we’ve ever had? They come de-shelled and with a miniature puff pastry on top to soak in all that parsley goodness.
🥩 Steak frites – upon sitting down, this plate was being served in almost every table, and rightfully so. Cooked to perfection with the most delicious fries to complement. Tip: don’t forget to dab a bit of mustard on the steak for an extra French feel.
🍲 French Onion Soup – I had to! I’m such a sucker for this soup and it came highly recommended. Absolutely worth it.
🐓 Chicken – this plate we didn’t have but it’s their most popular, having been on the global menu for over 25years. For sure I’ll order this next time I’m there.
🥧 Crème brûlée – in thirty seconds it was gone. It was THAT good. We didn’t order another one by mere miracle.
