London has always been a hotspot for the trendiest and most coveted restaurants. That’s a known fact.

But when a gorgeously designed restaurant hits the town and causes a stir, I always wonder if the food and service can live up to the interior design. Is it just the hype and the instagram-worthy photos? Or can the culinary experience also speak for itself?

Enter Bacchanalia.

It’s decadent. It’s lush. It’s a place to see and be seen.

And then the food arrived, and I swear my brain went bonkers… and that’s bonkers in the most absolutely fabulous way. So much so that I turned to my neighbors to tell them this restaurant was 5 stars all around. Yup, I literally gave a review to strangers that didn’t ask for it - but did ignite a lengthy conversation about the best eats in town. These neighbors then became my foodie-friends and we ended up sharing some plates because they “had to try my chicken” and I had to “try their veal.” I’m quite a foodie, but I’ve never been so excited to share my food with a neighboring table because it was that good. I have also never taken food off a neighbor's plate before either but…it…was..that..good.

Oh, and ladies, while you’re there take a trip to the restrooms. Yeah, you’ll thank me later for that as well.
